The Healing Arts
Creative Projects that Help Heal the Whole Person
The Healing Arts Program is relatively new at Lakeland Regional Medical
Center. However, in a short time, it has made a huge impact in the experiences
of our patients. Whether it involves journaling, a painting project,
crafts, listening to soothing music or playing an instrument while hospitalized,
the experience of the arts during a hospital stay lightens the spirits and
promotes healing of mind and body. Thanks to generous support from the
community as well as the involvement of dozens of volunteer artists in the
Lakeland area, Healing Arts opportunities are growing at Lakeland Regional.
The Foundation has provided more than $25,000 in seed monies to implement a
Healing Arts program at LRMC.
